Since 1947, Old South Restaurant has been more than a diner. It has been a place where Russellville gathers, traditions are shared, and memories are made around the table. Originally built along Arkansas Highway 64 as a welcoming stop for travelers crossing the state, the restaurant quickly became known for its comforting Southern meals and warm hospitality. Generations of families have enjoyed breakfasts here, road-trippers have discovered it along their journeys, and even Elvis Presley once stopped in to eat at the original Old South. The Russellville community has continued to support the restaurant through every chapter of its story. Although the iconic building was lost in a fire in 2023, the spirit of Old South lives on in its new home, where the original sign now hangs proudly and many of the same beloved recipes, including their signature salad dressing, are still served, connecting the past to the present with every meal.
